Dear, Fellow academicians & team member’s thanks for giving me a responsibility of President for the year 2010. I will strive to do my very best through my tenure to add value, prestige & stature of our organisation, resolve the pending conflicts & incomplete matters. I am proud to have one of the capable team of office bearers and I promise to go only as per the constitution of IAP and decisions made in the executive meetings with all transparency.

We will continue all the good programs and the activities with improvements to make these more acceptable & more informative. We have started the SMS Service of the IAP for the timely information of all these activities & website is being also revived.

We hope to increase the visibility of IAP among the PG’s & Senior Residents, in this respect all HOD’s of the various institutions are requested to get them enrolled as new members. It can get us more representation at the Central Level.

The various IAP branches in Delhi had been doing good academic activities for the paediatricians of their respective areas. We appreciate this & request for the start of public awareness programmes for the education & empowerment of parents with common topics such as New Born Home Care, Nutrition, Vaccination, Diarrhoeal & respiratory diseases & currently prevailing infectious diseases.

The IAP unitedly stands by for the Health Care of Children in Delhi.

We have moved to the new office at Rajindra Palace (Bank House) which is centrally placed and well connected with Metro, all are invited to have a look & make use of the premises.

LONG LIVE IAP

Dr. D.N.Virmani
(President, IAP, Delhi)
